My Lunch Time

Very lucky to work in Otemachi. Behind the office building and between the Imperial Palace and Tokyo station, we have this wonderful street.

Every lunch is a good view and wonderful time!!

This is a park close where people bring their obento (lunch box) and eat with the birds hehe
There are many salary men around there, sometimes an original one doing some exercises ^-^
Healthy life!!

Cheers

Takao Mountain (Pictures II)

Takao Mountain (Pictures I)

Today is a national holiday in Japan, 勤労感謝の日 (Kinrou Kansha-no hi), the Labor Thanksgiving Day.
And to thank God for the job and the business in Japan, we went to a place blessed by Him. This wonderful mountain around Tokyo in called Takao san; 50 min by train from Shinjuku and the easiest mountain to hike as no other transportation is needed from Takaosan Station.

The color of the leaves already changed a lot and there were some special events on the top. The temple below is new, bringing the Thailand's budhist history and many small buda to represent many parts of Japan.

Someone always gets the soft ice cream there (^-^)v

There are many other temples up there, with beautiful and interesting scenarios.
Today there was a cerimony with the Shishimai, a type of dragon that bites the people's head to bless you. Very interesting religion and culture. I respect that... as it bites my head ;-)

Omikuji is a paper with a message. To make the message work in your life, people tie it in ropes like in the picture. I also found the 10 commands, which I didn't expect to see in the budhist environment.

The temples and small ojizosan (statues) are always matching with the nature.

Taking the most difficult route to return, we had great moments seeing the different leave's colors on the mountains.

Kinuta Park

It's in Setagaya Prefecture, good area for families with children.
The Kinuta Park (砧公園) is close to Yoga (用賀) Station, about 10 min walk.

Soccer is already part of the culture.

Hmmm, like a self supporting tree...

Don't ask me what's this...

In a tall tree, flowers like big roses ?? Amazing view...

Outside of the park, in entrance of the highway, the information about traffic...

Going back to Yoga Station, Sun Microsystems' building is a great view as well.

After a great walk in a beautiful day in the park, a very cute objects in front a huge house in Tsunashima, in the way to my friend's house.

Xmas has already started

In a very sophisticated area, called Aoyama, around Omotesando and close to Ginza, Xmas illumination has been set in the main street and some beautiful buildings.

This building where I went today is called Aoyama Diamond Hall, where occur weddings and beautiful parties.

I met a friend, from the 1st company I worked in Japan, who has someone in the family getting married.

Piano Live Show

Japanese people like music as their own life. Every live show, the house is full.
This time, the show is with the famous pianist in Japan, already got the Nihon
Record Taisho, Eisuke Mochizuki.

He made songs for famous singers, most recent one for Go Hiromi.
It is in his new album Mangetsu - Winter, in stores from today.

http://www.hybridrecords.com/eisuke/index-j.html

In the live show is good to understand how they are in person...
what kind of people they are... the pianist is quite serious, a bit
shy to say jokes... he paid 37,000 yen for his jeans and 2,400 yen
for the belt, hahahhah

There were many guests... the one I really liked is called kousuke
and sings soooo well... he made many people cry in the show and
we are now planning to go to his live show ^-^

Japanese Japan and Foreigner Japan

Two hours course to make the Japanese Soba (buckwheat noodles) in a very traditional way.
The technique and teachers are from Fukushima prefecture and the school is the very high society Aoyama.

All manual, mixing the buckwheat flour with water (3 phases and different way to mix), straining and cutting the noodles.

At night, a concert at the Tokyo Baptist Church was incredible. All the musics and messages in English and Japanese, translated simultaneously and it reminds me the masses in Brazil...
Wonderful time in such a global church with so many nationalities tonite.

God bless this country!

Komazawa Olympic Park

Koyo is already there ^-^

Momiji trees give us a spetacular view in this autumn.
The leaves are colorful and they are already part of the Japanese culture.
Who doesn't like to see this beautiful nature created by powerful God?
I wanna see every single day ^^

Komazawa Park was the main center for the 1964's Olympic.

They have places for all the sports and today was the final for the National American Football and Female Footsal Championship.

The park is about 45 min walk from home, door to gate. Well, to go back, as I was quite full after a great chashumen lunch, I spent almost 1h to arrive home (^^;

Great time!! it's always a good feeling when I see people practicing sports and enjoying their Sunday doing lots of physical activities!

Let me prepare for a movie now! As I promissed my friends, tonite I'll go to the moview theater with them, to see Charlie and the chocolate factory (my favorite actor Johnny ^^) .. smash!
