yokattaaaa, Guam, foi otimo! adorei mesmo.
o pessoal foi muito bacana, a praia maravilhosa, o tempo lindissimo, as atividades inesqueciveis, tudo tudo foi otimo, nao tem nada q nao tenha gostado!

Para-Sailing

Usually 2 people go to para-sail because of the weight... but do you think I would go with someone there? I like doing myself !! argh, everything myself!!
And I went about 35m up, more than others hehehehe
The view was wonderful as the weather was good and the higher I was going the sensation was of more and more freedom.



The water's dark blue from the top was a new color ... the view of the mountains were unique and the boat was becoming small and small...







I got addicted to the jetski, canoeing and snorkeling... the jetski was really fun, the faster better! 110km/h in the 1st try... the next I have no idea as I couldn't even check the meter hohoho

Tumon

In Tumon, downtown, there's the longest aquarium in the world. Some of the fishes I saw the first time, like this very blue fish, with nemos...






and very pink ones, as they had been colored...








As it was probably close to 22:00, the sea-horses were already sleeping... they use well their tails...

What a wonderful life...

I walked all around inside the water as it is not deep at all... I could see people walking from the Alupat Island to the hotel.

Many Japanese though... as expected. And locals can speak quite good japanese.

30C and cool wind, my cough stopped completely... I might have allergy to everything in winter...

It was great to feel perfect and full of energy to run around the beach and get color on my skin...

And of course, as Brazilian, I had to eat the huge 10oz special steak... which was ok, not better than Brazilian churrasco but still fine... I can say I didn't leave anything on the plate heheh

Amazing as I can eat like this... I'm so small and thin... but probably it's because I spend lot's of energy... usually I eat a lot more after the exercises... which makes my weight not changing much the lots of exercises... but I forgive myself as I still can keep my body fine... most of my friends on the same age cannot wear the bikini I can still use... I'm doing my best to keep like this at least till my 40s :D

Going to Guam

After 3h... Guam from the airplane. When I took the above picture, I didn't know my hotel was exactly there... and the small island in the middle is where I went snorkeling ^_^

The hotel room was huge comparing with the rooms in Japan ;-)
The bed was comfortable, the room service very good, hotel staff very nice, and the view from the room....

Viva Brasil!

Todo segundo sabado do mes tem um show ao vivo de musica brasileira aqui pertinho de casa, Rakuya, eh um restaurante/bar com musica ao vivo.
Esse evento, chamado de Viva Brasil, qquer pessoa pode participar. E' so levar um violao e botar a boca no mundo.
Eu ja participei mas foi eh no samba. Toda vez q tocam um bom sambinha da' aquela vontade de pular e dancar e a gente se diverte pacas!

Olha, sao so japoneses cantando, tentando esse portugues q e' dificil pacas pra eles. E' incrivel como tem gente cantando bossa nova, samba, MPB... muitos profissionais inclusive tocam so musicas brasileiras.

Friday

Great lunch time with the team at Kikkon in Sankei Bldg.
They have huge rooms and we had great time.
I got some flowers from the team, which was really lovely.

I'm always lucky working in teams with nice people. HSBC, Reuters, Mizuho. All nice people and I'm glad to have great friends in all the companies I have worked.

Meeting celebrities at "Que Sera"

The handsome guy in the middle is a famous actor in Japan, Sano san. Saturday was his live show, as his hobby is to play guitars and do music live around Tokyo.
The musics were quite old but the performance was really good.
The place's "Que sera!" and it seems famous people are usually there...









I met Kaneko san, who went to Brazil to a report about the Fat Family. He's really nice in person, smiling all the time and his voice is exactly like on the TV... like a happy guy ^-^

Update on Brazil in Tokyo

Every month there's an event presenting the Brazilian news in music, CD and DVD.
Promotted by Mr. Kepel, it was great to hear samba (those themes were famous when I was in Brazil) and new singer like Shirle de Moreira.

Farewell

One more farewell... Great Dmytro, from Ukrania, is leaving the company and we had a dinner with lots of drink... lots and lots...
We will all miss our "Santa Claus" always laughing and very very patient with everybody. He never got upset with anything... maybe after figuring out his in my blog :O huahuahauaha







And this is the big boss of one of the departments. Not my big boss, but great boss in a party. He's very happy person, very social and drink a lot.

Which girl doesn't like flowers?

Pink tulip and roses from my colleagues are the only beautiful part of my desk, even in a temp vase ^-^

It doesn't really match with the oracle manual but matches with my pink little pig from Moma (NY).

These flowers I got a time ago, I just didn't have time to upload it here, however beautiful things I have to keep in this blog. Just imaging how long this blog will exist...

Flowers make me feel as beautiful as them. Sometimes more than them. hahahhaaha

Homenagens a musicos brasileiros

Aqui no Japao, os musicos brasileiros sao muito queridos e respeitados. Muitas vezes mais do que no proprio Brasil.

Hoje foi a vez que Luizao Maia que esta na contra-capa de muitos CDs (e LPs) tais como Elis Regina,

Tem um grupo muito dedicado aqui em Tokyo, para divulgar e homenagear os musicos e a musica brasileira.


Luizao era casado com uma japonesa, a Yoko, que fala fluentemente portugues. Ela esteve em Curitiba e conversou comigo como se fosse uma brasileira. Na foto, ela esta la no cantinho, assistindo a tudo com um ar muito simples e modesta.

Muitos individuos importantes desse meio artistico tiveram presente. Musicos, produtos de radio e de discos.



Passaram videos que eu nunca tinha visto... de passeios no Rio em iate, shows com a Elis, banda do Luiz, que sempre foi um baixista muito dedicado e tocou ate mesmo depois do derrame.

As ultimas palavras da Yoko no show de homenagem ao marido que se foi... "o bom baixista nunca aparece..."

O tempo eh lindo pelo menos!!

O inverno no Japao, pelo menos em Tokyo, eh muito lindo.
Se chove, vira neve... mas a maioria dos dias eh assim...
se nao for o dia todo, as manhas sao lindissimas.

Os predios aih (chamados torres gemeas de Tokyo) sao o espaco mais caro do Japao. E eh onde fica a minha empresa, ocupando alguns andares, e por falta de espaco, a gente, da area de tecnologia foi parar ha duas quadras, do lado do palacio imperial.

Como as salas de reuniao e as equipes de suporte estao nas torres gemeas, andamos muito durante o dia entre os dois lugares... uma boa forma de se fazer exercicios! e tomar um solzinho, que eh otimo nesse friozao!

Depois do ataque terrorista em Nova York, a seguranca nas torres gemeas virou uma coisa de louco. Tem seguranca em tudo que eh parte e se um dia vc esquecer o cracha ou perde-la, ... olha, ta com um problema serio. So pode entrar uma vez com um cartao temporario e nao pode sair... hahah

Os elevadores nos predios novos de Tokyo falam. Desses predios entao, alem de falarem, vc pode cancelar o botao (reset) apertando 2x bem rapidinho... as laterais sao de metal dourado, que eh pra refletir as pessoas de fora, tem camera muuuito pequenina, tem um sensor super sensivel pra abrir a porta... capaz de abrir com um espirro, hiuahua

Mas o que vale mesmo eh estar do lado de fora, tomando esse solzinho maravilhoso, caminhar ate o palacio imperial e o maru biru (marunouchi building, um dos shoppings mais caros do mundo). Almocei hoje la.. as 3 da tarde, porque estava muito corrido e nao deu pra sair antes...
as vezes almoco la no parque e tiro uma sonequinha debaixo do sol, deitada no carpete verde e no meio de sakuras e arvores centenarias. Adoro o sol!!

Primeira aula

Hoje fui fazer uma aula teste de kung fu... nossa, que puxado... mas como fazia taichi chuan em Curitiba, foi facil aprender alguns movimentos.

O problema eh que kung fu eh muuuuito rapido, quase nao se ve os movimentos de tao ligeiros q eles sao...

Kung fu eh uma das bases da arte marcial, origem na China, praticantes de todas as idades!! hj tinha um menino e uma senhora fazendo a aula tbem.

Tem que se ter muita flexibilidade e uma coordenacao motora para ficar no ar sem tocar o chao por ... hmmm

Regras na empresa

Eu nao sabia que essas regras existiam ate entrar numa empresa japonesa. Antes na Reuters, nao tinha nada disso...



Por exemplo, numa sala de reuniao, vc nao pode sentar em qquer lugar.
As cadeiras que ficam do lado oposto a porta sao para as pessoas de maior cargo (que geralmente sao mais velhos que vc). Se clientes ou visitas estiverem presentes, os lugares deles sao do lado mais longe da porta...



Ah, sofa eh so para visitas, mesmo que seja 1 visita so e esteja faltando lugar, ninguem pode sentar do lado da visita!!







No taxi tbem tem lugar certo...
Eu pensando q aqui tbem era "damas first"... que nada...
Chefe ou cliente entra 1o.

o pior lugar atras eh no meio entao quem tem cargo menor senta la.





Se nao for taxi aih a regra eh diferente.... acho q essa regra eh seguida no brasil ...







Esse eh no shinkansen ou qquer outro tipo de trem...

Poucas pessoas sabem dessa regra, mesmo entre os japones.








Aqui eh no elevador... eu nao tenho problema, pois sempre fico no meio hehehe

Do you think everything is small here in Japan?

It's the best and biggest strawberry in all world!! for sure.
Sweet like "me" hahahahah, just kidding, it's really really sweet.

Just to see the size, the ring is normal size, a Brazilian ring, the only one I found to make the comparison heheheh.

I can eat all the pack, 12 huge strawberries in one atack.

Festa

For the dinner, how about feijoada and picanha with some caipirinha?

Feijoada was quite salty, like double of the salt than normal... was still very good, I can tell we ate everything.

Coxinha was huge, delicious!


The place is Alvorada em Kichijoji, where a japanese band sang Brazilian and Japanese songs. Some samba, MPB, the one I remember the title is "Chuva de Prata"...

Elizete Cardoso, Tom Jobin are always part of the songs in a live show in Japan...

Black and White!!

I haven't seen so much snow in Tokyo since I moved to Japan.
It's been hard winter... everybody knows I hate cold weather... however.. I confess it's quite beautiful when it snows. Only one day snowing here and 10 cm of snow is on the cars and roof. I took this picture from my building, in Nakameguro. I hardly could see the buildings in Kamimeguro.
104 flights canceled in Haneda and trains working only in their 70% of capacity.
In Mito, north of Tokyo, it was the worst snow in 97 years...
Even close to 0C, I couldn't stay home... and with the cold :O
Went to a friend's birthday, with the mask! and had a great time in a live show in Kichijouji... continue later...

O que acontece com a TSE

Em abril de 2005, foi anunciado pelo governo, que bancos so iriam proteger ate 10,000,000 yen por conta. Usaram isso tbem como motivo para fazer todos investirem em algo ao inves de deixarem seu dinheiro na conta normal. Pessoas fisicas comecaram a investir em acoes, muitas delas, pela internet, cuja taxa eh menos da metade q usar uma empresa de securities. Com a economia em crescimento, tbem aumentou investimento estrangeiro...

O que aconteceu foi que o volume de transacoes foi aumentando... aumentando... aumentando... e todos sabem... no Japao, todos sao muito resistentes a mudancas, entao eles continuam com sistemas da Fujitsu na tokyo stock exchange (TSE).
Na TSE, parece que eles nao fazem muitos testes nao... nota-se pela agenda de testes q eles mandam pra gente.
O volume de negocios tbem fez muitos traders errarem as ordens... colocar numeros errados, escolher acoes de empresas erradas, etc.

Ontem, a TSE para antes do fechamento normal, pelo excesso de transacoes... foi por causa do escandalo da Livedoor, todo mundo tentando vender as acoes dessa empresa.
Assim fica bem claro que a TSE nao esta preparada para a realidade... nao foi a toa que o presidente e mais 2 dirigentes tiveram que pedir demissao.

Aos meus amigos

So tenho a agradecer! A todos que sempre estiveram comigo, esteja onde eu estiver...
Sem voces, nao estaria aqui. Cada um de vcs, seja no Brasil, no Japao, nos EU, na Australia, em Cingapura, na Espanha, deixou momentos inesqueciveis em minha memoria (que ultimamente anda muito curta hein! rs).

Mesmo aqueles bem longe, sempre muito queridos, muito atenciosos, animados... nossa, que saudades mesmo. E aqueles que conheci aqui no Japao, entao... cuidam de mim desde o 1o dia que cheguei. Se nao fosse por eles, tudo teria sido muito mas muito dificil. O pessoal que cuidou de minha chegada, ate hoje faz parte do meu dia-a-dia. Mesmo nunca ter sido parte das empresas dessas pessoas, ate bonenkai (festa de final de ano) participei, ganhando presentes...

Os amigos japoneses e estrangeiros tambem sao muito gente boa. Eles acham que sou diferente, nao sei... devo ser muito doida, mas com seriedade e dedicacao ao trabalho... eles gostam muito dos brasileiros, a musica brasileira (bossa nova, samba, forro), do churrasco, da danca (capoeira, samba), do propolis, da empolgacao, enfim, tudo que eh bem brasileiro.

Tenho que realmente agradecer aos amigos, por tantas historias nessa vida, eles podem nao lembrar de tudo que fizeram por mim, mas eu lembro de tudo que eles fizeram por mim. Sempre sempre rezarei para que eles sejam abencoados e muito felizes.

Ai que frio...

Esse inverno esta' muito estranho mesmo. Ontem esquentou um pouco, chegou a uns 12C e hj nao passou de uns 7C... um vento super gelado, e amanha e' previsao de chuva...
Inverno no Japao eh muito seco, em media 10% de humidade. E no verao eh uns 90%.
Nao se vive sem a/c or aquecedor por aqui... em compensacao, o outono e a primavera sao maravilhosos! Nao vejo a hora das flores de cerejeira (sakura) nascerem...

Aqui o frio comeca em novembro, dezembro ja neva na regiao norte, janeiro eh um gelo e fevereiro eh o pior... depois acalma um pouco em marco, aih vem sakura e april ainda eh friozinho... vamos ver esse ano, qdo esse frio vai embora.

Aqui em Tokyo, como eh muito quente no verao, as casas e apartamentos nao tem estrutura para aguentar o friozao. Entra vento de tudo qto eh cantinho e nao tem vidro duplo, como em Hokkaido.

Exatamente agora, esta 1C la fora... so da pra aguentar com carpet termico, aquecedor (a/c) e um kotatsu (uma mesa com aquecedor por dentro, com um cobertor por cima).
Ah, o aquecedor ligado aos 31C...

Sera que eh esse frio que esta fazendo as pessoas ficarem meio tan tan? hoje foi a 3a vez que um trader faz uma ordem errada para a TSE e da prejuizos enormes a sua empresa... dessa vez foi a Daiwa, semana passada foi a Nikko Citigroup... sao erros humanos... hoje, um cara vendeu 25,000 titulos de uma empresa errada, a SMFG... tentou cancelar, mas eh logico, muita gente foi rapida que a daiwa e ela teve um prejuizo de 500,000,000 ienes (hj 1 USD = 114.5 JPY).

Worst winter in 38 years...

The snow started one month earlier than normal. In Niigata, where last 2 years they had a terrible flooding followed by 5 degrees earthquake, many houses completely disappeared under the snow... 4m of snow already... a TV showed a house with no light as the snow covered all the windows and the house became a refrigerator.

The snow is too heavy on the roof and some of them are falling down into the houses...

Here in Tokyo, I haven't seen the snow yet as I was out of the city for many days. Even without it, it's been really cold. Last year I didn't use the heater and today I couldn't turn off. I hate A/C heater... the air becomes too dry and too artificial... I really don't like it.

I was not able to jog this winter yet... I feel my knee gets worst in the winter (T_T)

Snow in Hakone !!

Marcinha’s never been in Hakone and as Monday is holiday, we had a great time there! This is the view from the hotel room. Ah, the hotel reservation was supposed to be a room in the occidental style and a small part of Japanese tatami style; however the hotel made a mistake and gave me a room without the tatami room.
As here is Japan, the hotel after checking all the mixed style rooms are full, they moved us to the best room in the hotel. 2 tatami rooms, usually for 5 people.

From the “rotenburo” (outside hot spring) it was possible to see the mountain Fuji, very close. First time I took cold sake in a “rotenburo”.
The funny thing was to way you get to the hotel. A lift… from the Ashino Lake…

“Garasu no Mori” has a beautiful garden.

Strawberry charlot and cheese cake with Italian live music is a must.
Behind is the mountain where the onsen gas concentration is and where we always have the black eggs.

The trees are made by crystal, in a Venice style. The museums and store have the greatest art in glass and crystal and decoration things in glass.

There is a museum in a small all built small city for the Little Prince. Very interesting house, to show all the Antoine De Saint-Exupery life story and how he wrote the book with inspiration in real experiences.

Hakone is becoming the center of culture in Kanagawa area, with the greatest hot springs and one of the most beautiful lakes where you can see the Fuji.
It's worth to spend the weekend there!!

2006 Resolution!

Quero fazer algumas coisas importantes esse ano:

1. Voltar a correr sem sentir dores no meu joelho;
2. Tirar certificacao em PM;
3. Ir ao Brasil por 3 semanas pelo menos! Queria ir em maio, mas eh qdo o projeto entra no ar...;
4. Aprender bem snowboard sem me machucar toda vez q me esborracho pra parar;
5. Dar o maximo para o novo projeto que eh super gigante... o custo eh milhoes de dolares;
6. Aprender a ser mais humana, as vezes parece um esquilo selvagem;
7. Recuperar o meu portugues que era muito bom e agora cometo cada erro gramatical;
8. Comecar a estudar uma lingua nova (so comecar, para conversacao basica, tipo alemao);
9. Ah, fazer o JLPT de novo, esse devo fazer todo ano enquanto estiver no Japao. Vou fazer um simulado em marco, entao quero ir bem no simulado tbem;
10. Terminar meu plano para a proxima etapa de minha vida.

E se for continuar escrevendo, vou terminar essa lista amanha...

No dia de Natal

Feliz Aniversario ao Senhor dos Ceus, sempre ao nosso lado, e celebramos com muito carinho. Aqui em Tokyo, encontrei muitos cristaos, batalhadores e muito perseverantes.

Para quem so dormiu 2h de sabado para domingo e sem esquecer que voltei do Havai no sabado, ate que sobrou muita energia para o Natal.

O Senhor me deu uma grande oportunidade para conhecer pessoas importantes e bem sucedidas. Sao pessoas que sempre estudam, nao somente para o trabalho, mas tbem culinaria, astrologia, moda, gerenciamento de projeto em empresa japonesa, marketing, vinho, cogumelos, carro, assuntos infindaveis...

Foi assim que comi trufa, sera que eh assim que se escreve? um cogumelo pequeno custa 10,000 yen (quase 100 dolares). E sem contar que quem cozinhou foi o marido... japones, morou em Paris, ah todos la falam 3 linguas pelo menos, e agora esta em Tokyo.

E assim fiquei com a companhia agradabilissima ate quase perder o ultimo trem.
